Beware of Juicyfruiter

Juicyfruiter of juicyfruiter.blogspot.com is a spammer of sorts. (S)he -yes, this person uses different male and female names - and leaves a boilerplate at many blogs. Some of these blogs where (s)he commented on are not even written in English. The juicyfruiter invitation reads as follows:

"I read over your blog, and I found it inquisitive, you may find My Blog interesting. My blog is just about my day to day life, as a park ranger. So please Click Here To Read My Blog...

Instead of doing his job out and about as one expects, this supposed park ranger sure has a lot of time surfing the blogosphere using various aliases. (S)he should be fired . The taxpayers must not put up with this public employee not doing the work (s)he is paid to do.

Shhhh... just betweeen you and me, this photo is of the San Franciscio-Oakland Bay Bridge. Notice the pointy triangular building on the right. You can't miss it. It's the Trans-Am(erican) building.

Snoopy:

Regarding the juicyfruiter spammer trouble, there are two ways you can cut down on spams.

1. Turn on the word verification requirement for comments. I know this is an inconvenience to all who wish to comment, but it makes the spammer to personally enter his spams instead of using an automated process.

2. I delete all spammeer comments, no matter how nice they read and feather your ego. You should want to do the same.

Thanks for the warning.

The layout is a nice departure, very modern.

Carol,

Many bloggers are being spammed by this juicyfruiter. If and when he spams you, zap his comments! LOL.

If your reference to the "layout" meant this blog template, it's not too gaudy nor ostentatious. It doesn't dazzles. I should think it's easy on the eyes.

Leonardo,

Juciyfruiter is one of the firsts to employ subliminal spamming to cull responses from owners of what Carol called "friendless" blogs. That is, blogs without visitor comments.

I suppose a spam-bot comment is better than none for null-comment blogs. Let us, however, not to equate pre-programmed spams or actual reader comments as being the same as having no visits. Many may have visited your blog or mine, some more than once, and have yet to comment.

Hi! I just wanted to thank you for posting about juicyfruiter. I get email notifications when I get comments- and it made me suspicious when I saw a link to his/her site. I googled the blogname and found the warnings on yours. I don't know if this happened to you but the email that was sent came from a certain name source: joeerickson31549389 . I don't know if it can be used to identify this person, but was wondering if you got the same thing. Thanks again!

Saphris,

Greetings and salutations from one conservative - on the Left Coast - to another conservative.

This Juicyfruiter spammer is a nuisance at best. His call sign reads like an AIM or Yahoo messenger handle. Don't bother with it, if I were you. Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of Juicyfruiter?

The bigger pain in the neck at this moment is with our respective U.S. Senators. You have your Hillary and Chuck. We have our Barbara and DiFi.

Thanks for coming by, the Girl of the Timberlost.
