The Question
What is God's greatest desire?
"When earth's last picture is painted, and the tubes are twisted and dried, When the oldest colors have faded, and youngest critic has died, We shall rest, and, faith, we shall need it --lie down for an aeon or two. Till the Master of All Good Workmen shall set us to work anew..." ~Rudyard Kipling~

The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

to all: "John 3:16"
to an individual you: ??
But what led to John 3:16? Or, why John 3:16?
The bible says: "for we all have sinned" (Romans 3:23), we cannot reach our holy God since there's a separation between God and us that he will not hear us (Isaiah 59:2), there's no bridge reaches God except one (Jesus); and for "the wages of sin is death... (Romans 6:23).
"For God so loved the world" (John 3:16), in HIS grace and mercey, that HE wants to restore his relationship with us, his people, like before. HE's prepared a salvation for us through his only begotton son, Jesus, died for us and paid our sin the penalty, bridged the gap between God and people, leads us to the eternity.
Yet, not all people are choosing the only way God's provided, some are still wandering far away from God..
To have HIS people gathered is HIS greatest desire.
L'envoi, feel free to correct it. hope that i can do it better to the foreigners next time. :)
Brava, Snoopy! Your love for God and His Word shines like a beacon on the hill for all to see. Thank you.
Indeed, God's greatest desire since creation is: He to be with us, and we to be with Him.
Great is His faithfulness. Morning by morning new mercies we see. So then, for us Christians, we are to renew and to reconnect with Him on each new day He grants us.
so, next time i've to shorten my wordings here... :p
